“You Will Not Ruin Me” appears as track number 6 on Nate Manic’s self titled debut album and is the first single to appear off of the LP since the album’s May release. His former strengths as Smartbar talent buyer translate seamlessly as an A&R person as he has tapped coast-to-coast talent to lend remixes for Quaint But Extra’s first official EP.
Chicago Techno legend Mike Dearborn delivers a rework fitting for Berghain itself while Bay Area rave goddess Bored Lord gives us four minutes of hands-in-the-air breakbeat mayhem. Justin Cudmore’s emotional and tension filled remix could easily be a contender for track of the year and no EP would be complete without both the instrumental and A Capella versions, which Nate Manic politely provides to round out the package.

“Nate Manic- Self Titled” was released on May 7th, 2021 exclusively via his new record label by the name of Quaint But Extra. The album racked up an impressive first weekend, reaching number two on Bandcamp’s House charts and number four on their Techno charts with a strong showing on their overall Electronic Best Seller’s list.
San Francisco publication Fault Radio declared that Nate “seems to have no trouble nonchalantly negotiating the introspective space and the dancefloor, while never sacrificing authenticity or fun in the process”.
Chicago’s 5 magazine applauded him for “mint[ing] an album in which it seems he’s done almost (or actually) everything”, and described “You Will Not Ruin Me” as one of the “marvelous highlights” of the album, with “more demonic ‘90s style android vocals and an acid line that is merciless.”
Late 2021 will see the release of Quaint But Extra’s first vinyl offering, which will include a remix of “You Will Not Ruin Me” by Lindsey Herbert, a Bay Area-turned-LA Techno producer who’s been making quite a name for herself lately. "Late For Work" gets a rework by Guillaume and the Coutu Dumonts and another track off the album “It’s Never Easy” receives a treatment by Chicago House legend Derrick Carter, which will round out the record alongside Justin Cudmore's remix.
